staff are friendly and helpful. the building has character and charm. i liked the room, it had good quality fittings. the air con worked well because my room faced a noisy road. the bar had a good selection and the meal in the bar area was good. i really enjoyed my stay.
my room wasn't ready exactly at check in time, it was delayed by fifteen minutes.

The breakfast offered a good selection of cooked English and continental options, so it was fine.
The room I had was cold. I could not stop the freezing air. The food was a real letdown. The evening meal was a watery fish pie and a tasteless curry, so I was not happy.

going above and beyond to assist. innovative vegan options were available for dinner. the hotel has character and is well worth a visit.
the air conditioning unit in my room made a glugging noise all night. the shower cubicle was small. the heated towel rail didn't work.

The hotel's ballroom was a fine space for my wedding. The rooms were very comfortable with excellent beds. The food for both the wedding and the evening buffet tasted delicious and looked fantastic. The staff were really good, always available and eager to help, especially Jessica Crookes and Emily Evans. They ensured my family and I had a prefect experience and a nice day.
During check-in, I felt the information given regarding breakfast and check-out times could have been clearer.
